The sixth and final place in the knockout stages of the Carlow SFC went to Tinryland, who outfought Mount Leinster Rangers in Kildavin yesterday.

Carlow have one championship debutant for Sunday’s Leinster SFC first-round meeting with Westmeath at Cusack Park in Mullingar (3.30pm).

WICKLOW midfielder Thomas Walsh has submitted a transfer request which could see him return to his native Carlow.
