Boost for Carlow as Walsh set to return

WICKLOW midfielder Thomas Walsh has submitted a transfer request which could see him return to his native Carlow.

Having not played with Bray Emmets this season, Walsh will be eligible to help his home club Fenagh’s senior championship bid if the transfer, which was submitted on Monday, is approved.

Walsh’s initial move to Wicklow in 2007 was a controversial, drawn-out affair that left a sour taste on both sides.
