MANAGEMENT at a Cork company said yesterday they are actively seeking new business which could offset the large number of job losses they announced earlier this week.

Dutch farmers today began slaughtering 50,000 pigs feared contaminated with an illegal hormone, and a group said it will seek compensation from two Irish companies.
