Shamrock Rovers’ European adventure of last year won’t see a repeat in 2012 as they bowed tamely out of the Champions League in Lithuania last night.

THE widow and family of a 30-year-old Lithuanian man killed when he was struck by a car while crossing the road near Maynooth, Co Kildare, secured €125,000 in a settlement at the High Court yesterday.

A Lithuanian is alleged to have broken into a house in his home country in 2001 and to have stabbed a woman in the hand, the High Court heard today.
