THE letter from June Scannell regarding lack of facilities at Cork airport (Irish Examiner, January 6) is a timely reminder that action is needed if the airport is not to remain at the bottom of the list of political priorities.

OUR correspondent June Scannell (Irish Examiner letters, Nov 30) is perfectly correct to draw attention to ‘luxury hotel’ prices in Cork city. Imagine €9 for two scones and €6 for a pot of tea! In a suburban pub I was charged €2.25 for Ballygowan.
