A 23-year-old father-of-one has admitted killing a man, who was attacked with a machete before being dragged along the road by a car, following a three-week trial at the Central Criminal Court.

The jury in an ongoing murder trial has heard that the partner of the accused man told gardaí he came home late and upset one night in December 2006, and told her “something bad had happened”.

THE mother and daughter of a woman murdered in her home last week were granted an injunction by the High Court yesterday preventing the husband of the deceased selling the family home worth nearly €1 million.
