Manchester United chief executive David Gill and finance director Nick Humby are being urged to resign in the wake of Malcolm Glazer strengthening his grip at Old Trafford.

Man United’s chairman Roy Gardner yesterday announced his impending resignation from the board and warned that Malcolm Glazer has failed to provide any assurances over future debt, ticket prices, player transfers and non-interference with team selection.
