The owner of a hawk tasked with keeping away pesky pigeons at Wimbledon has laughed off suggestions he could be replaced by a drone.

Wimbledon 2014 is underway, and the biggest star so far is a sharp-eyed hawk employed to keep the pigeons at bay.

John Wade’s Harris Hawk caught the eye first time out this season and can go well off bottom weight in the Yorkshire Post Ladies Evening – 29th May Handicap Chase at Wetherby today.
