Racing at Cork warmed up with the improved weather yesterday as a full programme of competition was completed in all nine events under IRC and again under ECHO handicaps.

LAST Sunday at Crosshaven more than 70 boats participated in the Autumn Series, Whitesail 1 and Whitesail 2 together with Classes 3 and 4 raced in the harbour.

IRELAND’S Tuathal Mac Colgáin and Peter Duggan yesterday achieved a major milestone for Irish sailing when they secured sixth place and a personal best in the boys double-handed 420 class at the 2006 Youth Sailing ISAF World Championships at Weymouth in England.

AFTER a very successful second day of racing at the Volvo-ISAF Junior Sailing World Championships in Weymouth, double-handed 420 sailors Tuathal MacColgáin (Royal St George) and Peter Duggan (Kinsale) were in second position after five races.
