Former world rally champion Colin McRae took the lead in the Dakar Rally after winning the third stage.

Former world rally champion Colin McRae was on course to win his second special stage of the Dakar Rally after dominating day five between Agadir and Smara.

Colin McRae claimed an impressive ninth place on today’s second stage of the Dakar Rally as the event headed to Spain.
