An inspirational couple in their 80s hope to cross the finish line of their last ever marathon hand-in-hand in Cork on Monday.

Linda Byrne, Ireland's Olympic marathon hope, has won the Flora Women's Mini Marathon in a time of 33 minutes 29 seconds.

Freddy Kearon has won the sixth annual Cork City Marathon today in a record time of 2:22:11.
