Northern power generator Viridian, which operates the Huntstown power plant in north Dublin, has appointed Dipesh Shah as its new chairman.

Viridian announces today that Dipesh J Shah will become non-executive chairman upon Philip Rogerson’s retirement on April 30, 2005.

The predicted cost and timescale for decommissioning Britain’s nuclear power stations was today dramatically slashed, in a move which may point to a brighter future for atomic energy.
