This year’s Billy Coleman Young Rally Driver of the Year Award rests between the trio of Monaghan’s Josh Moffett, Killarney’s Rob Duggan and Omagh’s Patrick O’Brien, who successfully came through the interview process earlier this week.

Having secured what seemed a comfortable victory in the Rallye Du Valais, the final round of the European Rally Championship, Craig Breen (Peugeot 208 T16) was subsequently handed a post-event two-minute penalty that dropped him to second.

Taking the lead on the fourth stage, British duo Paul Bird/Aled Davies (Ford Focus WRC) won the Dunboyne- based Triton Showers ALMC Rally.
