Cork is to get a new landmark — a €500,000 gift from a construction firm for the support it has received from the people of the city for its building projects, the Evening Echo reports.

THE Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) last night rejected a claim that it is operating a closed shop by stopping a new pharmacy degree course for 50 students going ahead.
