Puck Out (10-1) got the Irish off to a great start on Grand National day as he ran out a comfortable winner of the Martell Cordon Bleu Handicap Hurdle.

CHAMPION Hurdle hero Rooster Booster has been installed 11-2 favourite with the sponsors for the Tote Gold Trophy at Newbury next month following the publication of the weights yesterday.

Perouse’s winning streak was brought to a halt last time out but this vastly-improved hurdler can show he is still capable of landing a good prize when he runs in the feature race at Kempton Park tomorrow.

Ted Walsh’s Bob Justice and the Dermot Weld-trained Mutakarrim head the weights for the Pierse Hurdle at Leopardstown on January 11.
