A Surinam national who swallowed 110 "cocktail sausage"-size pellets filled with cocaine has been jailed for five years by Judge Michael White at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

A rapist who previously served seven years of a 10-year term has been remanded in custody for sentence for sexually assaulting a young woman in the early hours of Millenium Eve.
