DIGICEL Group which operates in 30 markets in the Caribbean, El Salvador and the Pacific has reported strong results for the quarter to end December 2010.

DIGICEL – the international mobile communications operator owned by Denis O’Brien – has announced a 10% rise in its subscriber base over the past 14 months, bringing its customer numbers past 11 million.

Digicel has announced that it has hit the 11 million customer mark across its 32 markets worldwide.

DIGICEL, the mobile operator chaired by Denis O’Brien, saw revenues jump 12% to $2.2 billion (€1.8bn) for the year to the end of March 2010.

Digicel has today announced its financial results for the year ended March 31, 2010.
