The school principal at Kilkenny City VEC has welcomed a High Court ruling that will quash a decision by the Minister for Education to dismiss her from her post.

The principal of a Kilkenny school who was declared "unfit for office" was in the High Court today in an effort to reverse her dismissal by Education Minister Ruairi Quinn.

THE Education Minister has been restrained by the High Court from sacking Catherine McSorley from her position of principal of Kilkenny City Vocational School on the grounds she is “unfit for office”.
