The controversial Donegal poet Cathal O'Searcaigh is to break his silence for the first time today following the documentary revealing his relationships with teenage boys in Nepal.

The Donegal poet Cathal O'Searcaigh, who is at the centre of a controversy surrounding his relationship with young men in Nepal, has released a statement in the wake of the 'Fairytale of Kathmandu' documentary.

Poet Cathal O'Searcaigh has won the American Ireland Fund Literary Award for 2007.
