A YOUNG boy who has been refused a place in more than a dozen schools because of his autism will have his dream come true by returning to class soon.

ONLY an 11th-hour reprieve will mean nine-year- old Casey Naughton starts school with every other primary pupil in the country next week, despite assurances from the Taoiseach that he would find a school place.

A MOTHER who has spent four months trying to find a school in which to enrol her autistic son is hopeful that the support of Taoiseach Brian Cowen will help her case in time for him to begin classes in September.

THE mother of a nine-year-old autistic boy turned away by more than 20 schools has had to borrow money to pay for the home tuition being provided by the Government.

A NINE-year-old boy with autism, who has been refused a place in 22 primary schools to date, will find out in the next few days if he will have a school place next September.
