Laois man Liam O'Neill has become the first person to declare himself as a candidate in the race to succeed Cork native Christy Cooney as GAA President.

Kilkenny man Nicky Brennan has been elected the next president of the GAA as delegates voted on a successor to Sean Kelly at Congress today.
