Motorists are being urged to take extreme care on the roads this morning, due to very stormy conditions.

Irish people may be no strangers to rain but they are still not taking enough care when driving on wet roads, according to AA Roadwatch.

A new survey shows that 1,114 minor road incidents caused delays or resulted in drivers having to take a different route in 2012.
