More than 3,500 people who died as a result of the conflict in the North were being honoured today.

Dublin: Business group IBEC and the North’s CBI, together with Universities Ireland (UI), have urged support for a cross-border talent acceleration programme for students.

Businesses in the North stand a better chance of beating recession than those in other parts of Ireland and could make a significant contribution to the future economic recovery of the island, it was claimed today.
