THE Government yesterday paid tribute to United Nations worker Andrew Grene after it was confirmed he had been killed in the devastating Haiti earthquake.

It has been confirmed that the body of UN aid worker Andrew Grene, a US citizen originally from Co Cavan, has been found in Haiti.

EFFORTS were continuing last night to find an Irishman feared killed in the Haitian earthquake.

A MAN with Irish citizenship who was working on the United Nation’s (UN) peacekeeping mission in Haiti is missing, feared dead, after last week’s devastating earthquake, it has emerged.

ANDREW GRENE, the UN worker with dual Irish and US citizenship, was in a meeting at the UN headquarters in Port-au-Prince that collapsed in the quake.
