THE IRISH economy has been going through a difficult transition, but the stories behind the 1,000 jobs announced for Cork over the past 10 days shows that we are on the right road.

Minister for Enterprise, Jobs and Innovation Sean Sherlock is to announce another 50 new jobs at a business outsourcing company in Cork today.

The 1,000 jobs created in Cork in the past month show how the city “has become a much more competitive location” than Dublin, according to Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney.
