Greek traders have said they expect a torrid day of losses when the Athens stock market opens today after being shut for five weeks as part of attempts to stop Greece’s financial collapse.

Greece’s negotiators head to Brussels armed with their reform proposals and parliamentary backing to seek a third bailout, but with the shadow of severe dissent from governing politicians hanging over them.

A corrupt ideology continues to push austerity on Greece, but if the country is to leave the eurozone, its politics and economic management must change, writes Michael Kinsella.
