A new golf marketing group aimed at attracting British visitors to courses and resorts in the south and east of the country has been launched in Rosslare by Tourism Minister Leo Varadkar.

TOURISM bosses said yesterday Limerick and the mid-west will benefit from a visitor spin-off out of the huge exposure gained by the city by Munster’s Heineken European Cup victory and homecoming celebrations.

THE mid-west’s tourism promotion agency Shannon Development has linked up with Tourism Ireland UK in a major promotional campaign, based around the Heineken Cup final.
