EQUIPMENT supplier to the defence forces Timoney Holdings saw its pre-tax profits soar by 46% last year.

Timoney Technology of Co Meath has signed a contract worth an estimated €1 million with global truck manufacturer Terex.

IRISH-based firms were last year granted licences to export €4.2bn worth of parts that can be used for military purposes.
