A couple have had their Christmas "ruined" after a hotel cancelled their New Year’s Eve wedding renewal days before the event.

According to the latest Savills Ireland report the upturn in Irish hotel sales that started in 2012 is continuing this year due to improvement in occupancy and average room rate (ARR).
