AS a Nigerian refugee living in Ireland it is not often that people in my position have an opportunity to thank the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, Michael McDowell.

Two charities have received donations of €50,000 each from An Post, raised from sales of St Patrick's Day cards designed by John Rocha and artist Graham Knuttel.
