MENTAL Health Services Minister Kathleen Lynch is to visit “in the coming weeks” a psychiatric unit earmarked for closure by the HSE, amid mounting opposition from doctors.

At least 10,000 people are expected to turn out tomorrow to protest at the HSE's transfer of services from South Tipperary General Hospital to Waterford.
