Triskel Christchurch is preparing for a temporary takeover of its visual art offerings by John P Quinlan, the figure behind the establishment of the Vangard Gallery in Macroom in 1991.

ARTIST Stephen Brandes’ monumental piece, ‘April 22nd — From the Last Travelogue of Albert Sitzfleisch’, dominates the foyer of the Royal Hibernian Academy. His show, part of the RHA’s autumn programme, is satiric, provocative, charming and unsettling.

THE celebration show now underway at the Lavit Gallery in Cork entitled RHA in the South features paintings and sculptures by invited members from the Royal Hibernian Academy.
