David Davis will push ahead with plans to pull Britain out of the European civil nuclear regulator during Brexit talks in Brussels next week despite fears it could it could hit cancer treatments.

Ulster Bank may have recorded another €1bn-plus euro loss, but it is committed to staying in the country and playing its role in the economic recovery, according to chief executive Jim Brown.

Ulster Bank made an operating loss of £1.457bn (€1.7bn) in 2013 compared with £1.040bn the previous year, as the company accelerated the transfer of its non-core assets to its bad bank.
