The Ombudsman has declined to investigate a complaint by the body representing the freight industry over the country’s new postcode system.

The trade association representing the freight and logistics industry has confirmed that it will file a complaint with the Ombudsman over the country’s new postcode system.

A group representing the freight and delivery industry has threatened to refer its concerns surrounding Eircode to the ombudsman unless the Government agrees to submit the new €27m postcode system to independent scrutiny to confirm it is proficient fit for purpose.
