Nestle has said it will defend claims in a new lawsuit in which Atari accused the Swiss food company of pilfering its classic 1970s video game Breakout to help sell Kit Kat bars.

The KitKat wrapper is to undergo its biggest redesign in the bar’s 80-year history. One brand that will benefit from this promotional campaign is Google and its little known service called YouTube.

In move that’s sure to get munchers of one of Ireland’s favourite snacks muttering, the biggest redesign of KitKat wrappers in the chocolate bar’s 80-year history has been announced as part of an ad campaign.

Nestle has denied allegations of aggressive promoting, insisting that many of the claims made by protesters were “10 years out of date”.
