The first Roman Catholic priest to be charged for killings and kidnappings under Argentina’s former dictatorship has been convicted and sentenced to life in prison.

Singer Bono and the band U2 saluted the ageing Argentinian Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo at their final concert in Buenos Aires last night, honouring the human rights group that arose during Argentina’s past dictatorship.

SO we have yet another survey (Irish Examiner, June 14) exposing the plight of mothers who work in paid employment outside the home. When are our politicians going to get the message?
