An Bord Pleanála has granted a Gaelscoil on Cork city’s northside another extension of temporary planning permission despite opposition from some local residents.

LOCAL residents opposing the use of part of the Tank Field on Cork’s northside for a school are to hold a public meeting next week.

STUDENTS whose hopes of a move to a new school building were shattered when councillors refused to rezone the site last summer were celebrating yesterday after the decision was overturned.
