IT is ironic that the publicity surrounding the Global Economic Irish Forum, which your editorial (September 21) acknowledged was the brainchild of David McWilliams, was hijacked by the Government and its media cheerleaders.

ON the face of it, the first Global Irish Economic Forum has proved to be a resounding success.
