Forum hijacked

IT is ironic that the publicity surrounding the Global Economic Irish Forum, which your editorial (September 21) acknowledged was the brainchild of David McWilliams, was hijacked by the Government and its media cheerleaders.

It is not so long since a prominent member of the Government was telling McWilliams and his ilk to commit suicide because the Government at that time did not like what they were saying.
