IRELAND is bringing up the rear on broadband take-up and competitiveness in Europe according to a survey by the European Competitive Telecommunications Association, which looks after the regulatory and commercial interests in the communications sector.

IRELAND has the second lowest take-up of broadband in the EU 15 and has fallen behind three of the European Union’s new member states according to the latest figures.
