A CONSULTANT surgeon has told an inquest into the death of a Limerick man following his transfer to a Dublin hospital that he did not know if transferring him earlier “would have made any difference”.

A man who became severely ill after undergoing what he was informed would be a simple one day medical procedure has been awarded €285,000 in damages by the High Court.
