Gardaí were alerted to the bizarre scene of a man who stole a large stash of wine from a restaurant frantically trying to sell it on the side of the road in the early hours of the morning.

Neidín is already on the steroids getting ready to haul The Menu’s enormous carcass west to one of his most favourite annual food outings, The Dingle Food Festival (Sept 30-Oct 2) in association with the Blás na hÉireann National Irish Food Award.

One of the great national initiatives of recent times is Culture Night (September 18) and, most fittingly, food has come to play a great part in proceedings. 

The Menu is taking his brain out of the vaults once more for its annual airing at The Great Irish Foodie Quiz 2014 (Oct 7@7.30pm). 

While The Menu remains forever enraptured by our glorious West coast, he knows full well that man does not live on scenery alone...
