PRISONS will become “nastier” places under Government plans for drug-free jails, a new report warned yesterday.

Drugs are freely available in prisons and the battle to keep out them out is in “tatters”, according to a report by the Drug Policy Action Group (DPAG).

The Government is failing to deal with the problem of drugs in Irish prisons, according to a report being published by a campaign group today.
