Dr Martens has notched up rising full year sales and profits after the iconic footwear brand was boosted by its popularity in Asia.

Footwear firm Dr Martens is closing its British factories and moving production to China, with the loss of more than 1,000 jobs.

Dr Martens is to close one of its factories because of a downturn in demand for its boots and shoes.
