TAOISEACH Bertie Ahern suffered a double blow last night as two of his political confidants were condemned in the findings of a marathon inquiry into corruption by the Flood Tribunal.

The Government tonight faced calls for a parliamentary debate after a tribunal found a former minister received a number of corrupt payments.

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has pledged to establish a Corruption Assets Bureau following the publication of the Flood Tribunal’s interim report.
