Mephisto bring their production of David Harrower’s controversial play Blackbird to Cork Arts Theatre next week. The play was also a hit at last year’s Galway Theatre Festival.

Arts Theatre runs its annual Writers’ Week from February 19-22. The competition, which sees six shortlisted plays premiere, was established in 1986. This year saw the biggest entry, with 38 writers entering their work for the competition.

SIX one-act plays will be performed and judged over four nights, from tonight, in two different categories at Writers’ Week at the Cork Arts Theatre.
