British bomb disposal experts have carried out a controlled explosion on a blast bomb found this morning close to Drumcree Bridge in Portadown.

A suspected bomb has been located on a rail track at Finaghy on the outskirts of Belfast on the line to Lisburn, said the RUC.

Rail services in Northern Ireland were in chaos today after a series of bomb alerts closed main lines.
