Burkina Faso’s ruling military junta issued a decree on Friday dismissing Prime Minister Apollinaire Joachim Kyelem de Tambela and announcing the dissolution of the national government.

Mali’s ruling junta has appointed a new prime minister from the ranks of the military generals, a day after firing his predecessor for criticising the military regime.

The man installed by army leaders as Myanmar’s president after a military coup is best known abroad for his role in the crackdown on 2007 pro-democracy protests and for his ties to still powerful military leaders.
