Kerry County Council is to erect signs at the Gap of Dunloe, warning cyclists of the dangers of the narrow pass, and it will also develop a guide for cyclists.

The husband of the American woman who lost her life while cycling in the Gap of Dunloe in Co Kerry last year said the road signage he called for after her death has still not been erected.

The husband of a cyclist killed in the Gap of Dunloe in Co Kerry has written to the Department of Transport about the lack of safety and traffic controls on the very narrow road shared by cyclists, hikers, farm vehicles, pony carts and tourist cars.
