Donncha O’Brien was brilliant at Durrus where he beat Jerry Gibbons by almost a bowl in torrential rain in the West Cork Junior A championship.

Patrick O’Donoghue just edged PJ Cooney in the last shot of their Munster intermediate championship clash at Templemichael on Saturday. 

Donal Riordan and William O’Driscoll had good wins in the Munster intermediate championship, beating brothers Anthony and Noel Gould respectively.

He opened with a good bowl, which Murphy missed by 30m. Murphy played his second bowl to the right and O’Donovan increased his lead to 60m.
